Adobe’s Bold Move and 3 Common Misconceptions About Creative Cloud

Adobe is all over the tech, design and filmmaking blogosphere after making the bold announcement at its MAX conference in Los Angeles that they will no longer produce packaged software but instead commit all resources exclusively to their “monthly” (actually annual contracts like your phone carrier) paid subscription model.

While we here love the idea of fast updates and expanded resources, we have already had some trouble with login issues for the various software packages and once the “trial expires” we may get locked out of our own paid software unless the bugs get ironed out. We are sure they will, but it quickly reveals the implications of this decision by the company that created Photoshop, Illustrator and the finally-somewhat-useful Premiere.

We do love Adobe products, especially when we can access them.
